Diagnosis and Treatment of Rheumatoid arthritis, Ankylosing spondylitis, Osteoarthritis, Gout, Psoriatic arthritis, Osteoporosis, Systemic Lupus Erythematosus, Dermatomyositis, Systemic Sclerosis, Sjogren’s Syndrome, Behcet's Disease, Adult Onset Still's Disease, Relapsing Polychondritis, Vasculitis, etc.

 


Research Interests
Since 1990, Prof. Dai Lie has worked on the clinical practice, basic research and medical education at Sun Yat-Sen University. As a rheumatologist, her major scientific interest is in arthritis, especially rheumatoid arthritis and gout. She is the first person who developed synovial biopsy and synovial histopathological research in China, which has contributed significantly to the clinical and basic research of arthritis. She is also a pioneer in developing systemic laboratory tests of crystal analysis, including diagnosing crystal-induced arthritis in China.



Academic Achievements
Prof. Dai Lie has published two professional books and more than 120 articles, including 23 papers in international journals covered by Science Citation Index and 76 papers as first author or corresponding author in local journals. She has acquired more than ten scientific project supports, with one from the National Natural Science Foundation of China, one from the Scientific Research Foundation for the Returned Overseas Chinese Scholars by State Education Ministry, one from the Specialized Research Fund for the Doctoral Program of Higher Education, two from the "Eleventh five-year plan" National Science and Technology Supporting Project, two from Guangdong Provincial Natural Science Foundation, and one from the Science and Technology Planning Project of Guangdong Province.
